Today, we read from the book of Nehemiah as the book of the Law is read to the people and they discover a long-lost tradition…and after they reinstitute the practice, it brings them great joy. And from the book of 1 Corinthians, as Paul uses historical examples from Israel to illustrate his point that, while believers may largely be free to do as they like because of the work of Christ, we need also to be sensitive to those who are easily offended, and to go out of our way to avoid doing so.
We read through the following passages:
Nehemiah 8 | 1 Corinthians 10 | WatchWord – Psalm 91:2-4
